Why This Works
- Two miles is low enough that a busy week is still winnable, and high enough that you have to lace up.
- Pass/Fail scoring answers the only question a run club actually asks: did you clear this week?
- The historical grid shows consistency over time — passes out of weeks — not just who front-loaded a total.
The Rules
- Choose Every week (Pass/Fail) when you create the challenge (this template prefills it).
- Each week runs Monday to Sunday. Hit 2 miles that week to pass.
- Runs from Garmin sync or a manual log both count.
- Treadmill miles count if your group agrees.
How Meryus Tracks It
When you start this challenge, Meryus creates a shared page with a live chart, member leaderboard, and a join code. Every activity you record on Strava or Garmin syncs automatically — no manual entry, no spreadsheets.
Share the join code with anyone. They land on the challenge, hit Join, and their progress appears on the same chart. That's the whole product.
FAQ
Is 2 miles a week too easy?
For elites, yes. For a mixed group that wants everyone still in after month three, it is exactly the point. Raise it to 10 or 20 miles if your crew wants more pain.
What if I run 10 miles on Monday?
You already passed that week. Extra miles do not bank for next week — each week is its own Pass/Fail.
Can friends without a Garmin join?
Yes. They log miles manually in a few seconds. Same grid.
Does Strava auto-sync work?
Strava auto-sync is paused for now (paid developer fees — boo). Use Garmin or manual logging.
